Callum has had an absolute ball at Pre-School. After half term, they celebrated Book Week. First week was themed around “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”. They kids made a huge collage and all the snacks were themed around the foods the caterpillar eats. Callum loved it … strawberries, plums, sausages and gherkins (although the later did not appeal to the majority of kids!). They also made their own Very Hungry Caterpillar.
Week 2 was themed about “The Gruffalo” which the kids loved. It’s Callum’s Favourite Book and knows it nearly off-by-heart. They all got to make Gruffalo Crumble and Callum was in his element - he opted to make Raspberry and Apple crumble and loved getting his hands all messy. One to try at home in the future!
Meanwhile, I reviewed my every growing pile of “To Be Read” books and really need to do some catching up! Roll on the holidays.
