Ivor The Engine

We've been to see Ivor The Engine!!Jon and I both grew up with Ivor The Engine and it must rank as one of our all time favourite children's programs (along with Bagpuss, Mr Benn and The Clangers). For the half term week, Ivor The Engine was stationed at Alresford Station on the Watercress Line and as the weather was surprisingly good, we decided to head down for the afternoon.
The afternoon we spent on a fab steam train heading to Alton and caught the same train back again. Callum loved it ... well, except for the bit when he stood right next to the engine having his photo taken and the train let off a huge blast of steam (very loud!). Poor thing sobbed his little heart out and clung onto Daddy for dear life.

We'd never been on the Watercress Line before, but it was a really good day out and we'll most certainly be back ... probably to see Thomas!!
