Just got back after a fantastic weekend away in Amsterdam with the girls from the Scrapbooking Crop I go to.
We arrived at T5 - it's ginormous and a marvel of engineering. We were pleasantly surprised that we were checked in and through security within 20 minutes. Time for a cup of coffee and wait for the flight out which was running more or less on time. Suitcases had also arrived in Amsterdam with us and got the transfer out to the hotel in Nordwijkerhout, about 20 km away.
With time to kill before classes started, Lis and I went for a wander to try and find the beach and sand dunes. An hour later we arrived and found a fab little cafe on the beach for lunch - salad & beer!! Got back to the hotel to register and start our first classes.
Will post more on the classes I did later - they were totally fab!
My main concern coming back was would our suitcases make it back. Our weekend's worth of projects were contained inside and would be devastated if my case got lost as so many suitcases going through T5 had done before.
Our flight landed 30 mins early and by the time we got off the plane, through passport control and to the baggage carousel, our bags were already going round! T5 rocks.
