Time Flies!

I really don't know where the first two months of this year have disappeared to! Just wish we could put the brakes on time to slow things down a little.

We've out and about doing the usual stuff and making full use of the soft play areas whilst it's been wet and miserable outside. Playdays in Basingtoke is our favourite. There's a new one open a mile or so away from home and were lucky enough to get a VIP pass to go the week before the official open. It's nice and bright with loads of seating ... but the slide is dangerously quick and all the children ended up in tears and banged their heads going down. I went down with Callum and literally took off at the last bump and ended up with my legs in the netting at the bottom. The drinks and food is also more expensive compared to the other places.

We also headed down to Marwell Zoo during half term week with some friends and had a great time. The snow leopards were stunning and the Amur leopard was having a particularly lazy day lazing about on a branch.

Callum's so much more interested in all the animals since his last visit six months ago, great to see!

We ventured back into the Australia enclosure - last time we came, the Kookaburra's tormented Callum and one tried to bite his toes! They were still very curious but no close encounters this time (although one did try and escape out of the enclosure with us!).

Great day out with friends though!

Beale Park has also reopened for the year so we paid our first of many visits there yesterday. The kids had a great time and again, loved walking round to see all the animals.
