As the sun was shining bright, we thought we'd be good and go for a walk. Every year, I want to head over to Welford Park to see the snowdrops, but never seem to make it. Well guess what - this year we did! With all the rain, it was pretty muddy in places but we put on our walking boots and went out for a stomp. The woods were carpetted in snowdrops and certainly lived up to their name.
The rivers through the estate were pretty fast flowing and if the rain keeps up, some of the paths will be flooded. People of all ages were able to get around fairly easily (even one lady in a wheelchair ... with two men pushing her). Sensible footwear was the order of the day though. Quite a few turned up in normal everyday shoes and a couple of teenagers in white trousers and shoes. They weren't going to stay that way for long.
